The Sun is the Best Energy Source to Tap From

The sun rises and sets everyday. The sunlight lasts for variable lengths of time in different parts of the world. Sometimes, light from the sun does not reach some parts of the world because of clouds or when another planet comes between the sun and the affected parts of the world. The earth is the third of the nine planets. Actually, the sun is stationary and shines every moment of the day but because our planet (earth) rotates round the sun every twenty four hours, some parts of the world have sunshine when others are in darkness. Call it equitable distribution of the resources freely given to us!

By shining on mother earth, the sun provides the sunlight necessary for photosynthesis.Plant's vegetables and fruits are by-products of photosynthesis. Man and animals feed on the fruits, vegetables and plant products to remain alive, grow and procreate. We should survive and live comfortably on food obtained from plant sources only. Adam and Eve at the garden of Eden depended solely on plant products and fruits for their energy. Our bones are also strengthened by exposure to sunlight via synthesis of vitamin D in our skin.

The charcoal and firewood are by-products of plants and are ready sources of heat energy. There is no doubt too that the petrochemical products (fuel, kerosene, diesel and other hydrocarbons ) are degradation products of plants, and, therefore, of sun energy.

In view of the foregoing, one can see that our ultimate source of energy is the sun. Therefore, getting our light energy by tapping into the sunlight of the day is the most logical and natural way of sourcing energy. It is harmless, abundant and makes use of nature. It is like breathing in oxygen and breathing out carbon dioxide. No one has monopoly over the air we breathe in. By tapping into Solar Energy, We are being natural. It is cheap, environment-friendly and an appropriate technology.

I am Dr Nkpozi Marcellinus, a medical practitioner with special interest in Internal Medicine and a creative writer at http://idealenergy.wordpress.com/ I am talking on solar energy because all my life, I have lived in cities that use much more expensive and environment unfriendly alternative energy source. Recently, I have started using solar energy and I can see lots of differences. The difference is clear..... Visit my blog at http://www.idealenergy.wordpress.com/
